Bactrius Bram HermensSandra Smets
Bram Hermens (1979) made a great wall artwork, called Bactrius, at Van Abbe Museum in Eindhoven.
Bactrius is based on Bactria, present-day northeastern Afghanistan. Bactrius is the fictional main character in the artwork. It's a symbol of commitment, combining the warring parties in an eclectic backdrop of Hellenistic and current image elements.
The exhibition is on show until March 25, 2012 at the Van Abbe Museum. Then the wall is painted white again.
This publication is a special representation of the work and process.
