PAUL SEGERS Station to Station
selected works 2000-2010 WITH DVDPaul Segers (Eindhoven, 1976) graduated from the Academy of Art and Design in Den Bosch in 2000. Since then, he has been steadily building his oeuvre, much of it consisting of sculptures and installations presented in the public space. He considers himself a sculptor, though he dabbles in other media, such as video and performance. He also organizes projects in theNetherlandsand around the world under the auspices of his ‘New Brabant Front,’ a network of like-minded artists from various fields in the creative industry. Station to Station presents a selection of sculptures and installations from the period 2000-2010, in which Segers explores, in ever-greater depth, the tension between reality and fiction, art spaces and the public space, and image and imagination. He creates machines, vehicles, dioramas, visual tableaus and live-action situations through which he responds with an entirely personal imagery to the world as he sees it – from work to work, station to station.
With DVD The documentary En ondertussen, in de agrarische sector ... by Levroi Media Producties shows the production process of the work with similar title.
